Chinese luggage brands are all shouting for moving towards to the world, but our design level could not even be mentioned amoung the world level. Recently, Yves Castaldi, the famous brand designer, who had cooperated with many pop stars from Hollywood, visited Guangzhou and investigated the market there. He said that China is a huge market, and has high level of production. The only pity is that China lack one first-rate designer. He thought that China, as the biggest manufactury for luggage, possesses advanced equipment, big market, mature handicrafts and machine manufacturies, sophisticated net sale, and some other advantages like these. Even so, chinese luggage area still have no famous brand in the world.
Shoe bag industry as one of the fashion industry, should combine fashion design research and development, manufacture situation, means of sale and so on perfectly! Then it can walk out of China,then moved to the world, gain more orders and become a real international brand. Amoung these, fashion design research and development is the worst. It has great relationship with the lacking of innovation of chinese Shoe bag industry. Although China manufactures more than 80% of shoes and bags in the world, seldom are designed by themselves. They are still remaining at the time of duplication. It has a great gap with international design area.
Actually, China had already developed a group of good high-end taste consumers. They are active at the first line in Europe luxury consumption. Many international famous brands like Louis Vuitton has earned a lot from this cusotmers. According to the recent survey posted by some international company, chinese comsumers have bought more than 650 million Euro free of tax products from Paris. They continue to hold a post for "Paris shopping king". Europe luxury brands for shoes and bags attract more and more high-end comsumers. The only reasons for this are their innovated designs, origins, and the attention for materials. So, it is the time for chinese brands to break a new way to get rid of copy, and develop a top ranking designs in order to keep these high-end consumers in China.
Although disigners are from different countries, designs have no country difference. After passing endless history, modern designs had developed a complete theoretical system and Industry Chain. If China wants to develop some top-ranking designers, the following elements are essential. They must have some agents as bridges like International Design Training Centre, International Design Studio. So they can maintain the connection with the international top-ranking designers, blend tradition and innovation, mix together classic and fashion. Perhaps. only by this can chinese designers and brands can walk into the world.
